Geograph Project

The Geograph® Britain and Ireland project aims to collect geographically representative photographs and information for every square kilometre of Great Britain and Ireland, and I've been part of it since 2005, starting in Cornwall but also covering quite a bit of the Yorkshire Dales when I lived in Giggleswick.

St Kew Inn (C) William BartlettThe St Kew Inn was built in the 16th century to house the stonemasons who built the Parish Church next door (to left). Here a local artist exits pub after lunch.

Pengirt Cove (C) William BartlettPentireglaze Mine was a lead and silver mine, perhaps producing lead for around 400 years until 1857. There is an entrance to the mine here, centre slightly left, above the rubble. Once inside the tunnels have been blocked so you cannot get very far apart from down into an impressively large entrance chamber.
