Proposed Dates: June 15th – 21st, 2026 (The Summer Solstice)
"All that you take with you is that which you’ve already given away."
Resonance happens when one heart speaks and another heart answers at the same frequency.
Polzeath Resonance is a proposal to unite the village’s extraordinary history with its modern creative power with a combined walking, creative arts, and music festival. I know it is short notice but rather than wait for 2027 let's start with something at least now in 2026!
How can we all make it happen?
Caroline Bailey & The Tubestation Team: Providing the spiritual and community heart along with much of the musical talent. If anyone knows how to make music the talent just at the Tubestation does and Caroline is a Music Teacher anyhow!
After the success and kindness of all those who just gave to the Free Film Festival (we raised enough to buy a screen and blackout for the Tubestation without charging for tickets) we are proposing the purchase of a Long-Range 50-Headphone Silent Disco Kit. Approx £2000
The Goal: To allow the Tubestation to beam performances directly to anyone on the beach without disturbing the peace.
The Gift: Once the festival ends, this equipment is donated to the Tubestation as a permanent asset for film nights, youth work, and community events.
Caroline Bailey (Tubestation): The spiritual and community director of the "Home Base."
John and Dave (Tubestation Tech): The resident engineers; the men behind the desk and the film screen.
Tony Bailey: Advisory expert. Long-term veteran of the Cornish band scene; providing practical expertise and community liaison.
Pete Doggart: Global Sound Architect. From the Royal Albert Hall to Audible (Harry Potter); lead consultant on immersive 3D soundscapes. Will provide sonic guided walks for those as interested in the sounds of Polzeath as the sights.
George Stoy: the man behind the blue health at George's Surf School based at the Tubestation
Bill Bartlett: Lead walker and Beach artist
Jequetta Elliot: Founder of the Elephant Fayre. The bridge to Glastonbury’s roots, and the original "Fayre" spirit.
Simon Williams: the voice on the Archers and friend of Jeremy Irons!
The Portraits (Jeremy & Lorraine Millington): The "Polzeath Sound." UK chart-toppers and professional acoustic heart of the festival with their New Polzeath recording studio (see also Mark Yeoman's).
The Pros: Chris Bourne (Busted), Toby Lee (Blues prodigy), Tom Hickox (Baritone nocturnes).
The International: Christian & Marie-Louise (Denmark) bringing their Polzeath Space for Love rock musical.
The Future: Euan Millington & Terrace, plus a showcase of Truro College music students.
The Heritage: David Penhale (Celtic Folk), St Minver Silver Band, 4Kandles (A Cappella).
