The Rumps is truly the jewel in the crown of the National Trust's Pentire estate. It's Cornwall's best visible example of an iron age promontory fort and was occupied for perhaps as many as 500 years up until 100AD.

However, apart from the impressive earth ramparts that guard it's narrow entry, there's not been much evidence to show how it was used and by whom.
